CD3 is a complex of membrane proteins composed of five polypeptide chains that associate directly with the T-cell antigen receptor. CD3 is expressed on T-lymphocytes in the thymus, bone marrow, peripheral
lymphoid tissue and blood
Intended use
CD3 is expressed in the majority of T-cell neoplasms and is often not expressed in non-T-cell lymphoid malignancies. The antibody labels CD3 in both normal and neoplastic T-cells. It is useful for classifying T-cell neoplasms when used with a panel of other antibodies. It may also be used to highlight T-cell populations within a variety of tissues.
