CD163 is a membrane protein that has anti-inflammatory functions and is expressed by cells of the monocyte/macrophage lineage
Intended use
It is found in a majority of acute myeloid leukemia cases with monocytoid differentiation and histiocytic sarcoma. Anti-CD163 antibody is a useful tool for classifying neoplasms of myeloid and macrophage/monocyte origin when used with a panel of other antibodies
