Estrogen receptor α is a member of a family of nuclear receptors for small hydrophobic ligands and is
expressed in cells such as normal epithelial cells of mammary glands and normal endometrial and
myometrium cells of the uterus
Intended use
This antibody is useful for assessing estrogen receptor α expression in human breast carcinomas. ER is most often used with other specific breast panel markers. Find more information about breast markers and breast panel antibodies here

A moderate to strong, distinct nuclear staining of virtually all the columnar epithelial cells, most squamous epithelial and stromal cells (with the exception of endothelial cells and lymphoid cells) in the uterine cervix |

An at least weak to moderate nuclear staining reaction in scattered follicular dendritic cells and squamous epithelial cells in the tonsil |
|
No staining of B-cells in mantle zones and within germinal centers in tonsil |
