Assessment criteria |

A strong nuclear staining reaction of all epithelial cells in the appendix | |
A weak to moderate and distinct nuclear staining reaction of virtually all intercalated duct epithelial cells in the pancreas |

No nuclear or cytoplasmic staining must be seen in endothelial cells and smooth muscle cells in tonsil. The vast majority of lymphocytes should be negative, although weak nuclear staining reaction may be observed in a few lymphocytes |
