Vimentin is an intermediate filament protein that forms part of the cytoskeleton, and is expressed ubiquitously in mesenchymal cells such as fibroblasts, smooth muscle cells, and endothelium.
Intended use
Vimentin is useful for classifying neoplastic tissues of mesenchymal origin such as soft tissue tumors when used with a panel of other antibodies.
