Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) are spiral-curved, gram negative bacteria that are known to cause peptic and duodenal ulcers and chronic gastritis in humans. H. pylori may also be involved in the development of adenocarcinoma and low grade lymphoma of mucosa associated lymphoid tissue in stomach
Intended use
The antibody labels H. pylori lining the gastric mucosa in normal, and neoplastic gastric tissues which are infected with H. pylori. It may aid in the detection of H. pylori infection when used with a panel of other clinical tests.
