CD63 is a 53 kD lysosomal membrane protein expressed by a broad range of tissues/cell types, including platelets, granulocytes, basophils, a subset of T-cells, endothelial cells, sweat gland, islets of Langerhans, pancreas, prostate, and melanoma. The antibody labels CD63 protein in normal and neoplastic cells
Intended use
CD63 is a useful tool for identifying/classifying neoplasia such as melanoma, Merkel cell carcinoma, renal cell carcinoma, and adenocarcinoma of the breast and lung, when used with a panel of antibodies.
