Terminal Deoxyribonucleotidyl Transferase (TdT)

Terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase (TdT) is a deoxynucleotide polymerizing enzyme that generates
antigen receptor diversity at the junctions of rearranged immunoglobulin heavy chain and T-cell receptor gene segments. Terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase protein expression is normally found only in B-cell and T-cell lymphoblasts/lymphoid progenitor cells. Terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase protein positive
cells are regularly detected in thymus and bone marrow, but may occasionally be seen in tonsils, lymph
nodes, and extranodal lymphoid tissue.

Intended use

Tissue-Tek Genie anti-Terminal Deoxyribonucleotidyl Transferase Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody [RM379] is
useful for the classification of malignant lymphomas and acute leukemias, particularly so for the identification of precursor lymphoid neoplasms such as B lymphoblastic leukemia/lymphoma and T lymphoblastic leukemia/lymphoma, when used with a panel of antibodies.
