Multiple Myeloma Oncogene 1 (MUM1), also known as interferon regulatory factor 4 (IRF4), is necessary for the development and activation of B-cells. MUM1 protein is expressed at the later stages of B-cells development and can be demonstrated in B-cells in the light zone of lymphoid germinal centers, plasma cells, a subpopulation of activated T-cells, and some melanocytes. MUM1 protein is expressed in many
B-cell lymphomas, myelomas, and some melanocytic tumors.
Intended use
Tissue-Tek Genie® anti-MUM1 Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody [EP190] is useful for classifying lymphomas and identifying plasma cell neoplasms when used with a panel of antibodies.
