T-cell intracellular antigen-1 (TIA-1) is a cytotoxic granule-associated protein which is expressed by active and non-active cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTL), active natural killer (NK) cells, and active thymocytes, but not expressed by B lymphocytes. TIA-1 expression is found in T-cell or NK-cell neoplasms. TIA-1 is expressed in a wide range of T-cell lymphomas. Nasaltype NK-cell lymphomas usually express TIA-1. About 75% of anaplastic large cell lymphoma (ALCL), some hairy cell leukemia, and some classical Hodgkin’s lymphomas express TIA-1
Intended use
Anti-TIA-1 antibody is a useful aid for diagnosis of T-cell lymphoma including CTL and NK-cell lymphomas, ALCL, nasal-type NK-cell lymphomas, and hairy cell leukemia when used in a panel with other antibodies.
